About the event
The Monday 8th Grade Confirmation Class will be putting their “Faith in Action” with the following Class Service Project:
In football the “Hail Mary” pass, is one that is thrown with a prayer because the odds against com- pletion are big. It also means that THERE IS STILL HOPE. As long as we can pray there will always be hope. And so, this year as the students prepare for Confirmation, the candidates have spent a lot of time discussing prayer and the power of it. We reflected on how we pray, when we pray, why we pray.
When the students were asked the candidates “How do you feel after you pray?”, here is what they said: Peaceful, calm, hopeful, safe. Now more than ever we need to pray and so, as a class we invite you to give us your hopes, your concerns, your worries......put them in our prayer pockets...and let us carry them for a while.
Please stop by the Religious Formation bulletin board this month to submit your prayer intentions. We will also be in the Gathering Space after each Mass to collect all the parishioners’ prayer intentions on SUPER BOWL SUNDAY.
We will “Throw A Hail Mary” for all the intentions on Monday February 3 in a Twilight Rosary Service in the Church at 6:00 pm.
Together prayer is very powerful. We pray not be- cause the game is over. We pray because there is still hope.
